ATTENTION: Effective January 1, 2025, licensed attorneys, judges, and their employees are exempt from the mandatory online notary training course when renewing a notary commission. To qualify, applicants must submit a signed statement confirming their role and acknowledgment of the Illinois Notary Public Act using the state exemption form. This exemption streamlines the notary application process while ensuring compliance with state requirements.
